According to public records obtained by The Oklahoman’s Ryan Aber, the OU softball program generated $2.6 million in ticket sales in 2024, eclipsing the revenue brought in by the men’s basketball program. Even more remarkably, the team’s ticket sales surpassed the combined total of both men’s and women’s basketball.

That success has translated to the stands, especially with the opening of Love’s Field in 2024, the largest softball-specific stadium in college athletics with a capacity of 4,200 seats.
